I'm not sure it's patch related, but some people's avatars (Wolf's especially) are suddenly freaking HUGE.

Are you calling me fat?

I noticed the same thing Finn. Since it was right after I re-set my web browser settings per Joseph Collins' reccomendation I assumed it was related to that. Apparently not.

This is another known issue that Alanna has already mentioned in this forum (maybe in this thread?). I'm sure it's on her to-do list.

EDIT: If this works, I've edited Deborah's post, and will assume the error is fixed. I'll go edit a post in R&P for good measure. :) - Alanna

I think I've found a new one. Got this message when I hit "submit" after editing a post (in the R&P forum, if that makes any difference):

Quote:

I seem to recall having this issue with the avatars before, but, as usual, I can't remember how I fixed it, and searching the code is yielding nothing. :( I'm leaving it for now for more critical backend issues, but it will bother me every time I read the forums, so I won't forget. If anyone has any ideas, go ahead and post em here. :)

Not sure if or how this might relate, other than it is an avatar issue. I just tried uploading a screen shot for Adorietha's profile and got the following message:

Could not upload avatar to ./images/avatars/upload/e408d35805acfd3c5297c49ab2f261d0_2982.jpg.

Maybe the gobbledygook can help you refine your look see through the code?

I've had that bug since pre-upgrade.

Yeah, for some reason, uploads have never worked, which is why we don't have any attachments either.

I'm confused, then. How are all of our loverly new members getting pictures up? More importantly, how do I get an avatar for Adorietha up?

New members, I dunno, but I suspect they're linking to offsite avatars (hosted on flickr or somesuch). If you send it to me, per our longstanding DP arrangement, I'll host it for you on our server, and update your character's profile as a bonus. :)

Yup, I have always uploaded my images to my ISP's webspace and linked to them. Now that my ISP has become non-functional in that regard I have switched to photobucket.

This is only barely relevant, but I have been considering mentioning it for a while now: Mishell, most of the pictures on your characters’ profiles are broken links and don’t display. Duun’s is there, and your user avatar is as well, but on pretty much all other profiles there’s just that little icon of a paper torn in half. I wasn’t sure if you were aware of this or if it was displaying that way for everyone. Heh. Sorry!!
