Art: the one who knew Rostlen and introduced him was Zasuura. Just saying.

Yea, Rostlen had passing knowledge of Duun. I think he met him briefly once or twice, but it was definately Zasuura who introduced him. 8)

Thank you both for your clarifications on the matter. I am sure that is the way it really happened.

However, this is a personal journal based upon Sh'andiebs thoughts/memories and not a historical documentary. :)

In Sh'andieb's defense, he walked up late after admiring the white snow leapard a dwarven hunter had at the flightmaster and therefore missed the initial introduction. All Sh'andieb heard was Duun's hello to Rostlen, thereby creating the view in Shan's mind that Duun seems to know everyone associated with Sam.

See you tonight!!!

RE: Take a Letter, Gelnik -

I absolutely love reading this journal. The way it is adressed, "Dear Lydiane this morning... from Lydiane yesterday..." and such. What a creative way of writing a journal. Delightful!

I always look forward to the next installment, and, one day (hopefully in battle tonight) having Sh'andieb meet such an interesting charactor.

Well done! :D

/applause

Loving Danice's debut! Already I am getting a clear picture of her as a character. Looking forward to reading more (and RPing with her :) )

Geez! Ogmund has greatly underestimated the might of the Brown Book Society. /flex

Wandering off, Payton? Rostlen really is oblivious sometimes.

Aww, Naki. Rin is going to be so sad for breaking Alton's poor heart.

Breaking his heart might be inaccurate. Or maybe it's just the context I'm used to hearing the phrase be utilized. Though, in a way, yes, his heart was broken.

I'm sorry -aren't we all, whenever we make another person character suffer?-. But for every action there is a reaction, and for each cause an effect. This is a law that I hardly ever get to apply in roleplay, because the average character I come up with usually doesn't cause any waves in the plot.

But now I had an opening! So I looked at it very carefully, from every angle. You all, wonderful writers that you are, know how this is; you take a given situation or event and all the ramifications that the character might perceive. You take the character, its upbringing, temper and state of mind. You bring the two towards each other and study the effects. And all of this is done mentally!

I know that this description is pointless. Everyone here knows this process, the exhilaration it brings. But to me this is an extremely rare experience and, I will say this shamelessly, I'm very proud of the piece -the letter- that came out of it. The description, the different gradients of emotion.

I consider this among my best pieces and I declare it with unrestrained arrogance although I'm aware it could be better (it could always be), and knowing that there are pieces in this very forum which far surpass my own. And on top of that, I might have got to cause some waves in the plot -like the proverbial stone in the pond- while being out of commission AND (I hope) without being (too much of) a Drama Queen. Toot toot toot!.

Sorry for my long and self-celebrating post; but hey, I gotta let loose every now and then  . Blame Ayra for giving me an excuse

Elune be praised, poor Moriwyn. Good luck out there, fellow explorer. Too bad you're on a different realm, it'd have been a pleasure meeting you in person.

I will still follow your (mis)adventures quite closely through your journal.

Hmm. I've got to create a character account for Dasch so as to represent him better. If only, to post his explorations journal. Whenever it starts.
