The bad news is that we tried to cannibalize the spouse's (non-functioning) computer to upgrade mine, and we seem to have killed it instead. The power supply seemed already to have been on the fritz (which we're guessing is the cause of my recent random restarts), and now won't even power the computer up.

The good news is that the spouse's new computer is already set for delivery for tomorrow, and since he has a tabletop game on Thursday evenings I may be able to use his computer for Forsaken. (Parlath, I do have the laptop I can try for gnomes tonight, but I don't know how well that's going to work.) We have also ordered a new computer for me, but that isn't expected until at least Friday. The computer that I'm using for work is so old that it barely was able to handle WoW in the early days and now doesn't function for it at all. If I don't make it for pacers this week, I should be up and running again next week.

Folks, we're in the middle of setting up our tree tonight, and I don't know if we'll be done prior to pacer time. I know I was AWOL last week as well, so no hard feelings if you guys want to push on and let me catch up.

Looking forward, next Thursday is Christmas Eve (which is the big shindig in my wife's tradition), and the following is New Year's Eve (for which I'll actually be around, boring old man that I am, but I figure you crazy kids will be partying). Should we plan to take those two weeks off and reconvene the first Thursday of 2016?
