I've been meaning to see about trying to find some role play with Ben on ER Alliance. Specifically, some "get-to-know everyone" time. We do seem to manage a good number of runs in various instances, and those are fun, but they leave things seeming as we're all business associates or soldiers in an army all the time, with no time for R&R.

What I'd like to see is some semi-regular times that we might get people together. These times can help setup pre-instance-trips and help introduce new people into the group. We've always been very welcoming with getting people together for trips, but it seems to be a lot of "Oh hi there, want to come along on this dangerous journey into certain doom?" or "I heard from Bob in accounting that you were going out tonight. Mind if I come along?"

What do people think? Maybe Sunday afternoon/evenings? (Or every other?) I'm thinking just a "this is when everyone shows up in the Blue Recluse in Stormwind" and we just go from there. (As in, don't have to stay there, if people want action that night.)

Ooh, I like this idea. It would even let some of us whose toons are languishing well be low everyone elses level rejoin you all in some fashion.

That's one of the nice things about tavern RP - it lets the lower level folks interact with the higher levels.

I'm all for this, time available.

I will certainly swing by this from time to time, especially if it gets on the Call Sheet and I am reminded. :)

I would be happy to bring my Draenei DK, Zhudaar. She isn't quite ready for the goings on in Northrend as of yet, so she would appreciate this time. Sunday afternoons are usually pretty good times for me. I have Rylath on Mondays, raids on Wed., Friday, and/or Sat. so Sunday is good. :D

Would we want Sunday afternoons (2-4ish?) or evenings (8-10ish?) work better for people? (Those would be times when I'm available.)

My weekends are and always will be very variable. That said, I think I would make more Sunday evenings than afternoons.

If that's server time, either is about the same for me. I have designated Sundays my "lazing around day" so I almost never have anything scheduled.

Oh, I suppose I should mention timezones... :) I speak Eastern time. (I don't remember ER's time zone, I think it's Eastern.)

Yup, ER time = Eastern time, so that makes it easier for ya :)

Fantastic idea Leathermartini! 8)

My unpredictably rare spawning arse will be all over this when RL permits, especially if it's noted on the Call Sheet. I've 8 Alliance characters there from levels 12-70.

Never ever plan around me as others are more reliable, but you'll see me more often during the later hours than during daylight. Daylight play is way rare for me. :(

I cannot wait until the day I pull off one of these meetings with you all.

Sincerely,
Wolf

I'm very interested in this. If it gets a regular time I'll put it on my calendar along with all of the other stuff I've been missing lately. >.> (Yeah, still not the most reliable at getting in game.)

So, we're thinking Sunday nights, 8-10 pm Eastern. Ben's personal haunt tends to be the Blue Recluse (in Stormwind at least), but I think we have this be a traveling meeting, picking an inn at some easy-to-find location that we'll drop in on.

This as open to anyone that wants to drop in and is not paced or anything like that. I've no driving plot behind it, save that Ben needs to meet people. ;) We may on occasion help someone out with something they need group-wise, but I suspect this would more likely be us storming lower-level incidents to help leveling characters at worst. (I like to be inclusive across the level spectrum.)

Edit: Now to come up with a name for the meeting... "Stormwind Nights"? "Iron Forged Nights"? "Knights Night Out"?

I'm open to suggestions ;)

I like "Stormwind Nights," provided they'll always be in Stormwind (which I'm in favor of. Easy to get to from almost anywhere these days).

Went to do some homework and decide which character of mine would be the best fit for the event.

I could not find Ben on the Call Sheet. What race, class and level is Ben?

Call Sheet = RP Adds
Wolf

P.S. My bad if I am missing something.
